            A. Y. Dadabhai Technical Institute (Kosamba) which is managed by The Surati Sunni Vohra Muslim Education Society, Surat started in 2008, has completed bright & successful journey of Ten years in 2018 & enters in to 11 years. More than 2000 students has completed Diploma Engineering & started their bright carrier, out of this more than 500 students are muslims.
            The A. Y. Dadabhai Technical Institute is one of the leading Institutes in South Gujarat in the field of technical education. For overall development of students all are made to make them a good engineer. Not only this but, after completion of their study all efforts are done by Training & Placement department to provide them a good job opportunity.

Progress Report of 2018 year

1. Admission 2018 : This year also out of 72,000 seats of Diploma Engineering in Gujarat around 25,000 seats remain vacant, especially in self finance institute 50% of seats remained vacant, but in A. Y. Dadabhai Technical Institute out 315 total seats 305 seats were completely filled, total 96% seats are filled & it is the record of highest percentage of seats to be filled in South Gujarat. From these total 305 students 106 students are Muslims & out of this 22 students are Surati Sunni Vohra.

2. Result Analysis : This year also result of 88.10% is obtained in the Sixth Semester (Final year) exam conducted by Gujarat Technological University in June-2018. The following is the list of students who obtained Rank in University. (There are 132 Diploma Institute in University)

3. Skill Development Centre : Last year we get the permission of two short term courses of six month duration from AICTE (Government of INDIA). In this course each of the 10th passed students were trained free of cost. The name of this Government Scheme is PMKVY. This year (2018-19) permission of another four courses are given by Government & this are following
   
   
   1. Domestic Data Entry Operator.
   2. Computer Hardware
   3. Air-Conditioner Files Technician.
   4. Wireman Control Panel Technician.
      
      
   This all courses has been started from October-2018 at “The Surati Sunni Vohra Industrial Training Centre” Rampura, Surat after passing this exam students will get Government Certificate.
   
   
4. Extension Centre at Rampura “SURAT” :
Our Trust is running one I.T.I.  At Rampura, Surat situated opposite to Lokhat Hospital. In which two years duration ITI Course of Electrician is being run by Trust. In the same Institute our A.Y.Dadabhai Technical Institute established “Extension Centre for Skill Development” for this Computer lab etc. are prepared different courses has been started with the permission of Government of India PMKVY in the same premises.
The course will be run with nominal fees in future.


5. Centre for Entrepreneurship Development : Our organization has been selected for “Business Promotion Cell” by CED Gujarat Government under this cell different training workshops are arranged. In which all types of information are given to start the industry or business. Along with this,, two short term courses are also offered by CED. After completion of this course “GTU” will conduct an Examination & certificates are provided.

6.  Ranbhumi-2018 : Like every year, this year also the sports week 2018 was organized for different games. Around 380 students (Girls & Boys) participated 7 each winner or winner team have given trophy.
   
   
7. Prakalp-2018 : Proto type Project is prepared by each final year students, in final year there is one subject of project it is having 450 marks. To make this project Good & Innovative “Project Competition” is arranged & it is given name of “PRAKALP-2018” in 2018 total 44 models were prepared for competition, which is a assessed by Experts from Industries & First three winners are given Price.
   
   
8. A. G. Bobat Book Bank Scheme : A.G. Bobat Book Bank Scheme is being run under Library by which each & every student are given books of each semester, under scheme 570 students are given book with only service charge.
   
   
9. Women in Development Cell : Presently 102 Girls students are being study, for this girls students different program like Mahendi Competition, Flower Decoration, Women Health & Hygiene etc., for development of Girls students “Women in Development Cell” has established by our ladies staff, under this girls students are given scholarship also.
   
   
10. Cancer Screening Camp : Cancer screening camp was arranged for people of kosamba & nearer area with the support of Gujarat Cancer 7 Research Institute, Ahmedabad. about   49 people (Male & Female) have tested themselves, this camp was sponsored by “ Nalini Shah Cancer Fund”.
    
    
11. Tablet Distribution : Each of First year students were given Tablet at Price of Rs. 1000/- by GTU. This year total 254 students take advantage of it.
    
    
12. Online Exam Centre for other Agencies : Our Institute’s Computer Laboratories has selected for online examination centre by NSETT (Govt. of India). Three Government online exams (PGVCL, RPF etc.) successfully completed in the year of 2018.
    
    
13. SC / ST Cell : For students of SC/ST category, all government scholarship / Fee Ship Card, online application & other related activities & all other help are done under the team of Staff members, at present total 122 SC/ST students are studying in this Institutes.
